Emerging Risk – No Risk Register

Thinking about what can go wrong in the project and how to respond (risk register) is so that we know what to do when the event happens. From experience, the quickness of the response to an emerging event often reduces the risk impact on the project.  Ideally, we will have generated a list of the things that can go wrong at the beginning along with some responding actions to respond quickly. All of this will be held in a risk register that the project manager reviews with the team frequently for emerging events and the state of the risks in the register.
