No matter if an organization uses these terms or some other manner of saying Organizational Learning and Development (OL/OD), they are either practicing the fundamentals of these processes or they are working themselves out of business. The very reason OL/OD came about was because numerous companies found themselves in a position they knew they could not maintain if they desired to stay in business. The development and learning of the organization and its’ respective people has proven that with an understanding of people and processes an organization and its’ people can all become more. Coupling OL/OD with an understanding of why people and processes respond has also increased the effectiveness of leaders and managers and thus made like better for employees.
